Green and White
For many years, the north-eastern corner of Warsaw, commonly known as Zielona Białołęka (literally meaning 'green white meadow'), has been considered the fastest-growing part of the city, with new residential areas slowly erasing the agricultural roots of the area.
At some point of my life, this remote part of the city became my home. Over the years, I walked and cycled dozens of kilometers around it, challenging myself to become a tourist in my own neighborhood.
Armed with the democratic approach of William Eggleston and strong curiosity about the human-altered landscape, I document traces of human activity around me, as well as explore relationships between humans and nature, the past and the present, the “civilized” and the wild, often ending up with uncomfortable questions about our way of living in the fast-moving capitalist world.
